Purpose?

One thing I've noticed lately, especially at the university library where I work, is that people walk slowly and aimlessly. Almost exclusively. Do they understand just how much time they're wasting by lolly-gagging. Come on people, walk with purpose! Yes, with purpose! Act like you have somewhere to go because, guess what, you inevitably do! Each step is a new destination. Own it. So get out of my way because I am walking with purpose.

There isn't anything necessarily wrong with walking around aimlessly, I enjoy doing it myself every now and again. :-)

You've got to walk with purpose if for no other reason than it hides that fact that you're hopelessly lost. ;)

I only walk with a purpose when I'm trying to avoid real work (it's amazing how no one questions you if you have a folder in one hand and are striding purposefully down the hallway.) Otherwise, I'm a professional gagger of lollies.
