If I leave them in until they are fully healed, I only have about a 2-5% chance of the hole closing completely. I'll be able to put in a much smaller plug or ring if I want... maybe a 12 or 14 and they'll shrink up about that much. And if that's even too much, I can just do a clear spacer or something.
